Who is Marie France Van Damme?
Marie-France Van Damme was born in Montreal. She relocated to Hong Kong and started Dorshare Limited in 1984: a manufacturing company specialising in womens’ wear. She supplied retailers like La Redoute-Redcats, Monoprix, Marks & Spencer, Saks Fifth Ave etc.
Two years ago, the Marie France Van Damme brand developed a “chic, stylish resort lifestyle collection”, a niche market that Marie France identified through her years of travel in Asia.
Incorporating her knowledge and experience garnered from designing and producing private label for top retailers, she decided to launch the Marie France Van Damme line geared towards savvy and sophisticated women. With over thirty years of experience in the fashion industry, Marie France Van Damme has created a self-inspired, self-titled line, influenced by her travels, lifestyle and personal style.
There are only 5 Marie France Van Damme boutiques but more than 100 global points of sale. I’ve seen their boutiques in Hong Kong, Singapore and London but have not yet visited the others in Bangkok and Phuket. You could also visit their online sales website.

Ms Van Damme may be fully qualified and experienced in the fashion industry but I also know that she is really designing her Collection for me. Not to wear for myself; Alas!, I am merely a heterosexual man 🙂
