The Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Volante is a Dream Convertible That’s Practical

Aston Martin and Zagato first collaborated almost 60 years ago to make the DB4 GT Zagato racing car – a car which happens to be one of the most collectible Aston Martin cars ever made to date. Past cars include partnerships with Ferrari, Bentley, Spyker, Maserati, Alfa Romeo, and Lamborghini among others. Top Gear gives a fantastic list of memorable Zagato designs here, and Zagato has been modifying cars for practically an entire century.
The most recent Aston Martin & Zagato collaboration is the Vanquish Zagato Coupe which debuted couple months ago. And at Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance this past week, Aston Martin announced its new Vanquish Zagato Volante, a convertible version of its Vanquish Zagato Coupé.

Limited to only 99 cars, this Vanquish Zagato Volante is a not only a dream convertible but a practical one too. I can’t stress the word practical.
Powered by a V12 which pumps out 592 bhp with a 0-60 time of 3.7 seconds, this supercar is one many of us in SoCal would covet to drive with the top down and enjoy the rays and cool breeze. Work hard, play hard.
There are many flashy supercars & hypercars at Pebble Beach this weekend, but many really aren’t cars you’d drive to the supermarket to buy groceries for tonight’s dinner. Take a look at the Ken Okuyama Kode57 posted up on PuristSPro – definitely a sexy car but not really practical if you ask me. This is why I wanted to highlight this Aston – it’s a practical supercar for your hard earned dollars.
Deliveries are set for 2017 – so if you were on the waitlist for the Coupé version, you’d better pre-order yours right now. You snooze you lose!
Below is a video of the Coupé version, in case you want to hear the roar of the Aston V12, and additional pictures of the Volante.
