Be Radiant in 2017
After lots of holiday season indulging, I could not help but take a little “me” time and have one more indulgence after I rang in 2017.
To me, a facial treatment is a type of self-appreciation art. As with any art, the experience is subjective, but certain standards of a professional facial treatment can be tailored to the individual, making the experience one that should be decadent and memorable.
After years in the beauty industry, I knew that the place to go to satisfy my craving was The Spa at the Ritz Carlton on Central Park South in New York City, where La Prairie is the exclusive skin care product of choice.
I’ve been fortunate to visit this spa several times; and every time I visit for a facial, I leave blissful, relaxed and glowing. Not only is the atmosphere sound proof (a welcome change in the city,) but it is also serene and immaculate. The facilities, which include a sauna and gym, are at your disposal and included in the cost of your service, making this mini escape well worth the price tag.
My most recent experience was the Ultimate Pure Gold Radiance Facial – it was 90 minutes of wonderful, priced at $350.
I’m worth it.
Upon entering the treatment room, I was instructed to get cozy in a plush bed, with a foot bath drawn so that I could soak my feet in warm bubbles. My face was cleaned and the path of my treatment was analyzed. After some discussion about extractions and assessing my sun damage from the days that tanning was the “in” look, that keeps on giving, I was able to enjoy moisturizer on my hands and feet with warm mitts to insure optimum hydration. A variety of masques and products were applied and massaged on my skin from the La Prairie “Radiance Collection.”
The title did not disappoint. When the service concluded and I left my treatment, my tired skin was revived. And true to the title “radiant.”
The La Prairie “Radiance Collection” is a branch of the La Prairie Collection that is pure gold infused with patented technology to deliver long lasting radiant results.
Check out some of the products used for my transformation in to 2017:
“Cellular Radiance Eye Creme”
$365 for .5oz
I had an instant glow around my tired eyes, and the hydration made me look younger, I swear it did.
“Cellular Radiance Night Cream”
$660 for 1.7oz
My skin looked more supple and more hydrated without looking greasy; a tough and sought after balance to strike in the cosmetic world.
“Cellular Radiance Perfecting Fluide Pure Gold”
$525 for 1.35oz
My sun spots, or as I affectionately call them, “freckles” looked lighter, and my skin more even, without any make up on. My fine lines were softer.
This may seem like quite an investment, but I will remind you that the skin is your largest organ and it deserves to be treated well.
Once you try the facial, I recommend you make your first splurge on the eye creme. You can not neglect that area, because the skin is thin and needs some extra love.
Treat yourself this winter or any time in 2017 and make sure to check this spa out.
