Caroline Scheufele and Rihanna invite Bruno Mars to SPACE party at Cannes Film Festival
Cannes, 19th May 2017
Every year, the Chopard soirée is THE place to be and be seen at the Cannes Film Festival.
This year was no different in the electric light orchestra at Port Pierre Canto (where 90m superyachts have a home), with Bruno Mars, thrilling more than 600 guests – especially superstar Rihanna – who attended the CHOPARD SPACE party.
The theme was “Galactic with a touch of diamond!” dress code.
The dresses sparkled almost as brightly as the jewellery.
The futuristic décor was specially designed and built for the occasion so that Chopard could electrify its guests at one of the Festival’s hottest soirée.
Julianne Moore, Will Smith, Kendall Jenner, Isabelle Huppert, Eva Herzigova, Rossy de Palma, Paz Vega, Clotilde Courau, Araya Hargate, Sara Sampaio, Tina Kunakey, Phoebe Dahl, Bella Hadid, Thylane Blondeau and Latifa Arfaoui attended.
Chopard co-president Caroline Scheufele said on this occasion: “The Cannes Festival is a must for Chopard. Each year, I seek to dazzle my guests by offering them an original and unforgettable evening.”

As per Standard Operating Procedure, during dinner served in a space shuttle, fashion models paraded past, adorned in the latest Red Carpet creations from Chopard and wearing clothes by Elie Saab, before being joined for the grand finale by supermodels Arizona Muse, Winnie Harlow, Isabeli Fontana and Petra Nemcova.
Guests then found themselves teleported into space.

The highlight of the evening was when Bruno Mars, accompanied by a DJ, set the Chopard SPACE evening on fire by singing ‘Treasure’, ‘That’s what I like’, ‘Chunky’ and ‘Locked out of Heaven’.
Pop superstar Rihanna – who had marked her first ever appearance at the Cannes Festival by climbing the steps previously whilst adorned in creations from the Rihanna ♥ Chopard collection, designed in cooperation with Caroline Scheufele – graced the soirée with her presence.
Rihanna wore a 1950s-inspired black silk gown and overcoat by British designers Ralph & Russo. She accessorized it with an enormous Chopard diamond choker and matching diamond earrings.
