We’ve already had sneak peeks at the 2019 Chopard Novelties for Gents HERE and the Ladies’ Happy Sport Oval watches with sleek ‘galet’ gold bracelets HERE.
As we’re only 3 days away from the annual jewellery fest that is Baselworld, we should home in on the Baselworld 2019 Chopard Ladies’ Novelties in Jewellery and more….

At Chopard, ladies are equally served as gents in the choice and splendour of the offerings because the co-Presidents are siblings Caroline and Karl-Friedrich Scheufele, looking after the needs and desires of ladies and gents respectively.

Happy Hearts

The Happy Heart collection has a special place in the heart of Caroline Scheufele – she is rarely seen without her Happy Heart bangles (see above). She always says: “If I were to associate Chopard with a motif, it would be a Big Heart because there is a family behind it.”

New Pendants for Big-Hearted Women

This year, they are enhancing the Happy Hearts collection with two new cocktail pendants in 18-carat rose gold and mother-of-pearl. These will be the new talismans for the Big-Hearted women so appreciated by Chopard and match the Heart Bouquet earrings introduced last year.

There are two sizes of 18-carat rose gold Happy Hearts Cocktail pendants composed of mother-of-pearl hearts in a bouquet and always a heart fitted with a Happy diamond dancing between two sapphire crystals. Depending on your DoD (Degree of Daring), you can choose between two sizes to complement a cocktail outfit as well as a chic and casual daytime look graced with the shimmering glow of mother-of-pearl.

Precious Lace

The tagline within Chopard is “Haute Joaillerie carved in light.”
Higher upscale in the Chopard repertoire is the Haute Joaillerie collection for grand festivities. This signature Precious Lace line evokes free-sprung gems and the lightness of silk in jewels woven with the magic of Chopard ateliers.

For 2019, six new pairs of hoop earrings join the Precious Lace collection but we show just two variants today. The dainty designs are airy with graceful movement from the luminous gem-studded guipure lacework technique. They’re not your mama’s old fashioned hoops as modern materials are fused with traditional craft in 18-carat white gold, diamonds and titanium, offering stylistic variations on the lacework concept.

The first is set with diamonds and the second with sapphires, emeralds and diamonds. In the spirit of openwork fabric, the gemsetting deploys its finely crafted curves in an endless play on light. The modern lady enjoys the lightness of titanium that allows Chopard all manner of daring aesthetic moves and virtually vanishes under the most refined gemsetting. The intertwining patterns and clever combination of marquise, oval and brilliant cuts enhance the enchanting brilliance, energy and joy of these gems, like lace.
From a practical standpoint, it relieves the pain of wearing heavy hoops for more than a few hours.

L’Heure du Diamant watches

The Chopard L’Heure du Diamant collection harks back to the original Eszeha brand founded by Karl Scheufele I, famous for its jewellery timepieces. For 2019, three new L’Heure du Diamant timepieces are revealed embodying the excellence of its watchmaking and jewellery-making crafts.

They are all 30 mm-diameter creations fusing the dazzle of diamonds and the splendour of semi-precious stone dials with the marvel of a mechanical self-winding Chopard 09.01-C movement.

Together, they form splendid sculptures graced with opal, malachite and lapis lazuli. The green, royal blue or navy blue leather strap match their respective stone dials.
